Creating Shopify Dropshipping Legal Pages
Ok, so you finally made the decision to create your own business and you chose a Shopify dropshipping store. You’re looking into how to create those Shopify dropshipping legal pages without hiring a lawyer.
Now what you just created is a business, and it needs to be treated like one. The next steps for creating the foundation of your business are creating all of your legal pages as well as an About, FAQ, and Contact Page.
Let’s start with the fun stuff.
To create your Shopify dropshipping legal pages go to settings from within your Shopify dashboard, then choose “Legal.”
Inside you will see a Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Shipping Policy.
Don’t worry, you don’t need to hire a lawyer to write these for you. All you need to do is select “Create from Template” and Shopify will create them for you.
Go through each policy and fill in or take out information as needed.
For the Shipping Policy, you will need to create one yourself. Here is a simple layout you can use for your dropshipping shipping policy:
“PROCESSING TIMES
- Orders placed on Monday – Thursday are processed within 2-3 days. (Please allow 3 days if your order was placed on Friday – Sunday).
SHIPPING (ESTIMATED TIMES PER COUNTRY/COURIER LINKS)
- Please note that items within the store are located at our different warehouses across the world based on inventory. If you ordered more than one item, they will likely arrive in distinct packages within a few days of one another.
- Australia, Europe & United States: 7-14 business days
- Rest of the world: 12-20 business days
CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES
- Address Changes and Cancellations may not be available due to our quick turn around time.
- Please email us at “store email” and provide your order number, first and last name on the order, or email you provided us when you purchased.
- Note that we are unable to allow any amendments once the order has been placed. Please contact the shipping service directly with address issues.
- Should your parcel be returned to sender you will be responsible for additional shipping costs.
- If your order fails to deliver or is delivered to the wrong address due to providing incorrect information we are not liable for reshipment or refund. (If it has been 30 days since it was returned to us you will have to place an additional order. We will allow free shipping at this point and send your original order as well.)
If you have a question please email us at:”store email” “
Take this script and plug it right into the shipping policy section and you’re Shopify dropshipping legal pages are ready to go!

For the contact page, on the bottom right side of the screen you will see a box titled “Template.” Select the drop down arrow and choose page.contact.

Time to move onto setting up your main menu and footer menu.
Configuring Navigation Menus
The next step to creating the foundation of your store is going to be setting up your main menu and footer menu.
Good news is you already did the leg work when you created all of the pages.
From your dashboard go to Online Store then select “Navigation.”
Let’s start with the main menu.
Click main menu and you will see the current items listed as “Home” and “Collection.” Delete the collection link, we will be creating product collections later and adding them to this home page.
Now let’s add the About Page, FAQ and Contact Page
For each page click “Add Menu Item” and choose the corresponding page then click “Add.”
We like to organize our Main Menu like Home, About, Products, FAQ, Contact
We haven’t added any products yet or created any product collections, but that will come later.
Moving onto the footer menu now.
Click Footer menu, and add in all of the legal policies as well as the contact page.
We like to organize our footer menu like: Search, Contact, Shipping Policy, Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service
