In this one I’m going to be sharing with you three major high ticket affiliate marketing mistakes beginners make that cost them $1,000s of dollars every single month.

I’m also going to show you how to avoid them as well as the best companies to partner with to grow your affiliate marketing business.

The biggest issues with these mistakes is they cause affiliate marketers to miss out on 1,000s of dollars every single month.

Because they’re focused on short term growth rather than creating a long term online business.

This also leads to them losing credibility with their audience and losing out on even more sales overtime.

So let’s jump in and learn what these mistakes are and how we can avoid them.

High Ticket Affiliate Marketing Mistakes #1

The #1 mistake I see new affiliate marketers make is not using a sales funnel from the very beginning.

Instead, they send traffic directly to an offer through their affiliate link.

This does two things:

  1. They don’t build an email list and can’t leverage those leads overtime to grow
  2. Their conversion rates drop significantly because they haven’t properly introduced the product or service to their audience

Let me show you what a proper sales funnel looks like…

It starts by creating content on a platform like TikTok to drive free traffic to an Opt In Page where you collect your audience’s name and email to begin growing your email list.

As you build your list you leverage an email autoresponder to automatically send emails to your leads. You will provide them with value and send them back to the affiliate offer. You can also leverage this list to promote other offers and make more money over time.

Once someone has entered their name and email address on the optin page they will land on the bridge page. The job of this page is to introduce the offer you’re promoting with a short 30 to 60 second video. On this page you’ll add your affiliate links for people to click through to go to the affiliate offer.

Now anytime someone you refer makes a purchase you’ll get paid!

Let me show you a live example so you can see exactly what i’m talking about.

This is an active sales funnel that I’m using to drive passive affiliate commissions.

Once people land on this page they will click the start now button and enter in their name and email address.  This allows me to grow an email list and leverage it to get more sales over time.

Once they submit their email address and click the button they will land on the bridge page and watch this short video I created that introduces the product I’m promoting.

When they’re ready they will click this button that contains my affiliate link and will go to the sales page.

Now anytime they make a purchase on this page I’ll get paid.

High Ticket Affiliate Marketing Mistakes #2

Now moving onto the second biggest mistakes new affiliate marketers make…

Spamming their email list!

And they typically do this in two ways:

  1. They never provide free value to their list and constantly send them offer after offer
  2. They send them affiliate offers that aren’t related to the original reason why they signed up.  I see this all the time with affiliate marketers spamming their leads with different offers from clickbank.

Don’t do either of these!

Instead send them valuable information that helps them become successful. Once you put the focus on helping others reach their goals you will see the success of your online business skyrocket.

You can provide them with value in three ways:

  1. Share stories from your experiences with the product you’re promoting. Story telling is a high income skill because it allows you to build credibility and relatability with your audience. Keeping them engaged with lead to more opened emails and more money for your business.
  2. Create and share free informative articles and videos that provide additional training. This allows you to leverage the email list to  build an audience on a blog or YouTube channel as well.
  3. Connect with them on social media. I suggest building a Facebook group to create a community of like-minded people looking to be successful in the category you’re promoting.

Doing these things will keep you leads opening your emails and money flowing into your business.

High Ticket Affiliate Marketing Mistakes #3

And last but certainly not least, many new affiliate marketers partner with bad companies.

Either they don’t have a good value ladder or lack a high converting offer. This leads to affiliates wasting their time driving leads to an offer that never makes them any money.

Since my audience wants to learn how to make money online with affiliate marketing I partner with companies that will help them to do just that.

The first one is GetResponse. It’s an email marketing software that allows affiliate marketers to build an email list and create an autoresponder. Not only is it a great product, but they also have a great affiliate program.

They give you the option how you want to be paid. You can either receive a one-time $100 commission for referring someone. Or you can choose to get paid a monthly recurring 33% of each sale. Since this software is only costs $15/month for someone with an email list of less than 1,000 subscribers, I choose the $100 bounty program.

The next company I partner with is ClickFunnels. It’s the best sales funnel building software available for affiliate marketers. Like GetResponse, they have a great affiliate program that pays out a 40% monthly recurring commission for people you refer.

They also have a Dream Car program where they will pay you a monthly $500 bonus for 100 paid subscribers and $1,000 for 200 paid subscribers.  You can use this bonus to pay off your dream car!

The third, and probably the best company I partner with is Legendary Marketer. They are an online education company that teaches people the digital marketing skills to become successful with affiliate marketing. The CEO Dave Sharpe created a 15 day online business builder challenge to help beginners launch an online business as quickly as possible. The kicker, it’s only $7.

Legendary Marketer has the best high ticket affiliate program I’ve ever seen.  Once people go through the 15 day challenge they can apply to become an affiliate for Legendary.
