I’ve already spent $200 on ads and haven’t made a single purchase yet, you can’t be serious that every product you test sells?
Well you’re right. Not every product we test sells, however we’ve learned the #1 secret to increasing conversions on any store. Want to know what it is?
Having killer product pages with high converting copy-write that is so enticing it almost forces your customers to buy. Having a product page that actually shows how the product will provide value to your customers is the number one thing that will set your store apart from the other 99% of dropshipping stores. This dropshipping product page guide is fairly cookie-cutter and can be replicated across different products and Shopify stores.
You’re wasting precious money running ads to a product page that isn’t set up correctly. Stop immediately! Don’t waste any more money on ads until you’ve followed this guide to create the highest converting dropshipping product pages.
Dropshipping Product Page Guide
There are 9 items each product page must include: Coordinated Color Scheme, Compelling Offer, Trust Badge, Attention Grabbing Headline, Congruent Product Photos and GIFs, Benefit-Driven Bullets, Persuasive Product Copy, a Call to Action, and Social Proof.
Let’s jump into each one individually.
Coordinated Color Scheme
One of the biggest mistakes we see Shopify newbies make is using too many colors across their store. Keep it simple, use no more than three main colors across your entire store. Be sure that the colors match exactly by using the same color code while customizing your theme. Make sure your headlines are dark black, while your product copy is a little lighter.
To create the highest converting coordinated color scheme, go to your Shopify dashboard — Themes — Customize — Theme Settings — Color. Follow this color scheme using whichever two to three colors you choose to represent your brand.
The main colors used for this Shopify store were blue and white, while the text was black and dark grey. It’s important to set up a coordinated color scheme to make your site look for reputable. A good looking site will instantly boost your conversion rate without touching anything else.
Compelling Offer
What are you looking for when you shop anywhere? A deal.
Having a compelling offer is huge when it comes to convincing your customers to make the buying decision right away. When customers feel like they are getting a good deal, they are much more likely to make a purchase.
So what’s a good deal? Typically, we like to price our products at 50% off. So if we’re selling an item for $49.99 we’ll change the compared price to $99.99. Want to make the deal even more compelling? Increase the compared price, but make sure you don’t make it so unreasonable it becomes a red flag.
Don’t forget about the announcement bar! Whatever promotion you’re running put it in the announcement bar. So you could say something like “50% Spring Sale for 24 Hours Only.” Or you could advertise that you offer free worldwide shipping. Both are great ideas when it comes to crafting the most compelling offer.
If you have a good supplier or dropshipping agent, like Zendrop, and have the ability to offer express 5-7 day shipping use that inside your announcement bar or product description. Express shipping times will put you ahead of 99% of dropshippers who ship their items using AliExpress.
Having a compelling offer at the top of your product page will greatly increase your conversion rate.
Trust Badge
Trust badges are great because they quickly give your website credibility and gain your customers’ trust immediately. And you don’t need to pay for a premium theme to have one. Some simple coding will allow you to place a credible trust badge directly below your ‘add to cart’ and ‘buy now’ buttons.

Attention Grabbing Headline
Did you know that 80% of customers won’t read past the initial headline? That’s why it’s so important to craft high converting headlines that grab your customers’ attention immediately.
Before you begin writing a headline, you have to do customer research to learn the roots of why they would want to buy your product. Ask yourself how your product will help them make money, save money, save time, avoid effort , escape pain, gain praise, or solve another problem. Write at least five reasons how your product can help for each question.
Read reviews online by using free resources like Amazon or other stores selling your product. Don’t just read the five star reviews that tell you how great the product is. Read the one star reviews to find out what the biggest issues are with the product. Read the three and four star reviews to learn how the product benefited the customer and the issues they had with it. By leveraging these concerns you will be able to create a unique marketing angle that will give you an unfair advantage over your competitors.
If you’re selling a dog pool a potential headline could be “Here’s the Perfect Solution to Avoid Your Best Friend From Overheating on Those Hot Summer Days!” Another headline could say “Provide Unlimited Fun for Your Best Friend This Summer!”
If you’re selling a baseball hitting net the first headline could say “Gain An Unfair Advantage The Next Time You Step In The Batter’s Box!” Another headline might read “The Perfect Solution If You Want To Hit The Batting Cages (Even If You’re Stuck At Home)”
What about an air fryer?
“Elevate Your Cooking Skills to the Next Level & Impress Your Friends!” or “The Perfect Solution If You Want Good Tasting, Healthier Food!”
Whatever product you’re selling, having compelling headlines that spark emotion within your customer is key to get them to keep reading. The more time a customer spends on your product page the more likely they are to make a purchase!

Congruent Product Photos and GIFs
Did you know that 94% of customers look at product images or videos on the product page before they read anything. Having quality images and GIFs on your product page is extremely important. Most customers will make a decision whether or not to buy your product just by looking at the product photos. We highly suggest the first item below your headline to be a GIF.
What’s a GIF?
It’s an animated photo that’s created using a video for your product. They repeatedly run the same 6 to 10 seconds of a video over and over again. They do an amazing job at capturing a customer’s attention. GIFs work better than photos since you’re able to show how the product works. Turn any video into a GIF at giphy.com
If your product doesn’t require a video or you don’t have access to one, use high quality photos to capture your customers attention. Be sure that all of your images are exactly the same size. When a product page has images that don’t match it loses credibility. Photo Resize is a great app that makes all of your images across your Shopify site congruent.
Imagine yourself as the buyer. What would you want to see from this product to make you decide whether or not to purchase it? What features do you want to see? What different angles would provide a better idea of how this product functions?
Typically we’ll use images and GIFs to break up the text within a product page so it looks something like this:
By breaking up the text with images the reader doesn’t get bored. It keeps them engaged and keeps them scrolling. Remember, the longer a customer spends on your product page the more likely they are to buy!
Benefit-Driven Bullets
Having benefits that only include product features is not enough. You need bullets that list the feature, benefit, and meaning. Here is a simple formula to use when crafting your bullet points:
Feature: Benefit + Meaning
Let’s go back and look at the dog pool example:
- PUNCTURE PROOF: Unlike other dog pools, claws cannot puncture the bottom of this pool causing leaks which means your dog can enjoy a full summer cooling off!
- DURABLE MATERIALS: Thick PVC material prevents your dog from turning this pool into a chew toy so you can sit back and relax without having to worry about picking up broken pieces scattered across the backyard!
- FOLDABLE DESIGN: Allows for easy set up and storage which means you can quickly help your pup enjoy the sun without overheating anywhere, anytime!
Always highlight the feature first, make it bold and in all caps so it really stands out. A feature is what the product is. Follow the feature with the benefit. A benefit is what the feature does for your customer. Follow the benefit with the meaning. The meaning connects the benefit to an emotion that really drives home the impact of the feature.
Bullets create curiosity in your product pages and crafting quality bullets will help you stand out from the other 99% of dropshippers.
Persuasive Product Copy
After you’ve followed up your bullet points with a high quality image or GIF it’s time to have a conversation with your customer. You’ll want to write a few paragraphs that talk about how this product will help them while playing on their emotions.
Imagine yourself having a conversation with a potential buyer. What types of words do they use when talking about their problems? What kinds of questions do they want answered? What are their pain points that they need a solution for? What will they feel when this problem is solved?
Quality audience research here is key to really dive into the customer’s mind. Again, reading through reviews online and putting yourself into the customer’s position will allow you to create persuasive product copy.
Within the paragraphs highlight the most crucial pain points and emotions that your customers are feeling and the benefits your product provides for their problems. Write two or three sentences then create a new paragraph. Long paragraphs are eye sores and your customers will quickly get bored. Five to seven very short paragraphs is sufficient at this stage.
Remember, imagine you’re having a conversation with the customer. The more emotion you can play on and the longer they stay on your website the more likely they are to buy from you.
A Call To Action
Once you’ve followed up your product copy with another product image, you’ll need a call to action. Create a sense of urgency letting them know about the exclusive, limited time offer that’s going on right now. Tell them exactly what they need to do to buy your product. Tell them to scroll to the top of the screen and click “Add to Cart” or “Buy Now” to get their product right away.
Providing a little more of a push at this stage is often all a customer needs if they’ve already gone through your entire product page.
Social Proof
Yes, you’ll need reviews of your product to gain your customer’s trust. But what if you’ve never sold anything? What if you don’t have any customers who can provide those reviews?
The Loox review app will take care of everything for you. They provide you a plug-in that allows you to upload product reviews with images directly from AliExpress. We like to have at least 25 quality reviews on the product page before we run any ads to it.
If your supplier doesn’t have that many reviews, look for other suppliers selling a similar product and use their reviews.
Having social proof will increase the trustworthiness of your Shopify site and dramatically increase sales.
